I just finished Liquid Gold. Loved the nano technology. Futuristic New Zealand and Australia. Great read.

Owen, it’s 0110 here at the moment. I must write! I received your book “Liquid Gold” about a week ago, it took me a few days to start reading (life gets in the way sometimes)… At 5pm last evening, I reached chapter 9, and apart from a couple of hours preparing and eating dinner, I haven’t been able to put the book down! Read it right through! What a ripping yarn! Great story, an intriguing use of modern technologies, and a very satisfying conclusion! Well done, damned fine effort!
—Bob Kinzett | Queensland Australia
I have this on my Kindle, I started it yesterday morning and finished it last night, after a break watching TV, Thoroughly enjoyed it Owen, a great storyline, Thanks mate, I just wish I hadn't read it so quickly.

Hi Owen, I am in the South Island and have spent the last 2 days at Te Anau waiting for my friend to return from 4 days on Doubtful Sound. Yesterday at about noon I started reading your latest blockbuster. I had saved it for this very day. I finished at about 6.00 pm. I couldn’t put it down. I suspect it will have the same grip next time I read it. It is a very interesting plotline.
—Murray Reid | Cambridge NZ
Great yarn, just hope it never happens. Although some of that technology would be wonderful. Hard to put down, as I was keen to read what happened next. Will definitely recommend it.

Loved your new book, Owen, you are a good storyteller. I look forward to your next book.

Hi Owen, have read your book, the story is good and some may say it is sci-fi or fantasy but with your defense experience, it could be a hint at what is going on with the defense. Just imagine if they are secretly developing such equipment wow. Another good yarn
—Kevin Tomes | Christchurch
A tongue-in-cheek story about NZ and Australia battling in the future, with a Sci-Fi twist to it. Great for anyone who likes the Australians to look silly and the Kiwis the heroes.

Two words are all that's needed to make your day. Liquid Gold. Great read

I needed to let you know that I enjoyed the yarn. —Carolyn Gedye | Whanganui
I've been waiting for the perfect time and place to read 'Liquid Gold'....it has arrived. Two days free...staying at my bach alone...the weather is spectacular...bourbon and good food are available.
So I started reading and loved it and kept reading. After a day and a half, I'd finished an excellent tale written superbly. What i need now is something to fill in the next half day!
Maybe I'll go back to your trilogy which I've already read many times over.
Great work mate!.
Hey Owen, I finally read your book 'Liquid Gold' a few weeks ago. It's honestly not a genre I enjoy reading and yet I got through the book in 8hrs, it was interesting enough and had a fast-flowing storyline. A solid yarn with a twist, I enjoyed the book. Well done.

I have just finished LIQUID GOLD a minute ago. What an awesome story. Loved every minute of it.

Owen, you have brought such a special, emotional, upstanding good guy to the world of literature. Sam is just one of the blokes, sure, but he’s golden too. It’s not often we come across his like (salt of the earth), anywhere we go in life. I mean as a reader, or just day-to-day dealings, you know? Just a unique kind of goodness about Sam, to be emulated by readers of all ages. Think of the legacy Owen Clough and his Sam character will leave behind! I’m not overstating anything; I’m sure you have had lots of feedback about your stories and about Sam. GOOD ON YA, mate!
Australia is in crisis, water has vanished everywhere except the eastern states with the advent of global warming. The population from Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and The Northern Territory have migrated east with millions of Aussies on the move.
The political climate changes to a dictatorship as it comes to grip with the overpopulation of the east coast.
Across the Tasman, Australia looks with envy at New Zealand with its abundance of water. A plan is devised to use the might of the Australian forces to take the water.
To Invade, would New Zealand capitulate or would they fight? It has been two hundred and fifty years since the invasion of NZ.
The outcome will be unsure, but the winner will have the biggest prize, Liquid Gold.
